Join the cast and crew!

Cast yourself in the perfect role as a volunteer, either onstage or off, with the Iberia Performing Arts League (IPAL). Volunteers are the life-blood of our theatre and without the help of countless individuals donating their time to serve their community, the many successes IPAL has enjoyed in the past would not continue.   If you are interested in working with others, organizing things or just want to be a part of a well-established local community theatre then we have a place for you.  No experience is necessary – just show up with a great attitude and ready to help put on a show!

Our organization currently has members ranging from homemakers, retirees, professionals such as doctors, lawyers teachers, actors, dancers, choreographers, and singers, some of whom have performed only locally, some nationally and even some on the recent international stage.  Anyone can do this; all that is required is the love and commitment to the arts in our community.

While we already have many outstanding individuals who donate their time and talent in various areas, we are hoping to recruit newcomers and ask they look over this list and see what role they would like to play. 

ONSTAGE – Actors, Dancers, Musicians and Singers

PRODUCTION – Directors,  Assistant Directors, Chorus Directors, Music Directors , Set design and construction, Costumers-(designing, finding, sewing), Hair/Makeup Assistance,  Prop Handlers,  Sound and Light, Choreographers, Stage Crew and Stage Managers

OFFSTAGE – Public Relations/Advertising, Graphic Design, Hospitality, Housekeeping, Photography, Ushers

Membership

IPAL depends on your support to keep the the theater doors open. Our monthly expenses for mortgage, maintenance, insurance and utilities are approximately $3500!. To donate, simply print the donation form (SEE THE TAB AT THE TOP), fill out, and send to: PO Box 14105 New Iberia, LA 70562

Membership Levels:

Friends - $25 to $39

Bronze -- $40 to $99

Silver --$100 to $249

Gold -- $250-$499

Supporting Cast -- $500 - $999

Stars --$1,000 to $4999

Partner in the Arts -- $5000 and up

Sponsor

If you would like to sponsor a play for next year please leave your name and number on the IPAL answering machine (337-364-6114) or contact us and make sure to provide your name and phone number. A regular season play sponsorship is $1500 and a musical sponsorship is $3000. This helps offset the cost involved of royalties, costumes, and the many other expenses involved in putting on a play. Sponsors will be recognized in the program, on our advertising, and welcomed on stage opening night, and provided special seating for a performance.
